Dollar, Gold Prices Drop in Pakistan Open Market

Karachi: As per a news published on 08-09-2023, the country is experiencing an astonishing decline in the prices of gold as the US dollar (USD) rates drop in Pakistan’s open market.

As per the official report shared by the All-Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewelers Association (APSGJA), the 24-carat rates have fallen by PKR 10,500 per tola to settle at PKR 222,300. Also, the per 10 grams gold has fallen from PKR 9,002 and settled at PKR 190,586 in the open market. The reports indicate that gold prices dropped by USD 9, settling at USD 1,931 per ounce in the global market.

The silver piece has also fallen, as 24-karat silver experienced a decline of PKR 100 per ounce and PKR 85.74 per 10 grams. The silver rate has settled at PKR 2,800 and PKR 2,400.5 in the open market. The Forex Association of Pakistan reports regarding the Pakistani rupee indicates a gain of PKR 11, closing at PKR 312 in the open market. The interbank market report reveals a 13 paisa gain of PKR against the USD, which has reached PKR 306.98 from the previous close of PKR 307.10.
