Fast Development Work on Foreign Funded Projects to be Prioritized: CM KP
Peshawar: According to a
news published on 27-08-2023, the caretaker Chief Minister of Khyber
Pakhtunkhwa (KP), Mr. Muhammad Azam Khan, has instructed to speed up work on
the foreign-funded development projects to ensure timely completion.

As per the details, the caretaker Chief
Minister, Mr. Muhammad Azam Khan, stressed evaluating the progress of foreign-funded
projects in KP in a meeting. He also discussed the current status of foreign-funded
development projects. During the meeting, Mr. Azam asked administrative
secretaries to monitor these projects’ progress daily. He also asked the
respective departments to identify, address, and remove the obstacles in these
projects’ implementation.

Improving National Infrastructure
As per confirmed sources, there are
66 foreign-funded development projects in the Annual Development Programme
worth up to PKR 849 billion. In
addition, PKR 114 billion worth of funds have been allocated for these projects
in the fiscal year, and PKR 10.9 billion is yet to be released. The CM divulged
the importance of these infrastructure development projects in merged areas,
stressing that timely completion would be beneficial.
